WHAT IS CASEIN PROTEIN?
Not all proteins are created equally. To understand a bit more about what type of protein would suit you and your routine we have broken it down into three categories:
ISOLATE (WPI - Whey Protein Isolate)
- Very fast digesting. Ideal for post-workout.
CONCENTRATE (WPC - Whey Protein Concentrate)
- Slower digesting than WPI (Slower digestion rate due to filtration process).
CASEIN (MN Custard Protein)
- Super slow digesting. Slower again than WPC (digestion rate 6 - 8 hours). Makes you feel fuller for longer.
WHY USE CASEIN PROTEIN?
Casein Protein is known for its slow sustained digesting effect. Slow digesting casein custard makes a perfect breakfast, snack and night protein option. Slow digesting casein protein will make you feel fuller for longer and can provide you adequate amount and sustained release of protein (amino) supply throughout the day / night.

CONSUMING ADEQUATE PROTEIN AND BENEFITS WITH MUSCLE SYNTHESIS (REPAIR, GROWTH)
Muscle protein synthesis (MPS) is the body's ability to repair and build muscle tissue after exercise. When you exercise, MPS is initiated and starts the process of muscle repair. Having protein present in your body helps feed MPS, providing the fuel to continue this repair process. Without MPS there is no muscle growth.
MIXING TIPS: To ensure the consistency is to your liking, start by adding 90-100mL of cold water or milk to the mixture while stirring (for 2 scoops - 40g). Then slowly add more water or milk if a thinner consistency is desired. Ensure the powder is mixed through completely before adding more liquid.
TRY IT WARM: Mix the custard as per the above instructions. Then, microwave the custard for 30 seconds for a warm treat!
