We live in a day and age in which optimizing performance, recovery, and results are integral to every meal we eat and supplement we consume. We don’t just consume post-workout protein and call it a day…we’ve learned from science that taking separate, free-form amino acids can give you an extra edge to take your progress to the next level.
Amino IV: A BCAA product with added benefits to take it beyond just another BCAA.
You spend all the time and money working hard and eating right…why sell yourself short on your essential supplements?
How much leucine does your amino product contain?
Amino IV packs 5 grams of leucine per serving, putting it in the top 1% of amino acid products on the market. In fact you would have to double-dose most BCAA/Amino products in order to get the same leucine content.
Countless research has shown that leucine is the key amino acid for activating muscle protein synthesis. Amounts as low as 1.8g (in combination with EAAs) have shown to be effective, with more commonly researched amounts around 2.5g (in combination with BCAAs), and the high amounts in the 3.6g range (alone, and in combination with EAAs).
We don’t mess around with Amino IV -- 5 grams of leucine per serving, and 30 servings per bottle makes Amino IV a cost effective leucine source, before we even get into the perks of the rest of the formula!
BCAAs are key ingredients to consume no matter what type of athlete you are. But the majority of the BCAA products on the market are just that...BCAAs, not a whole lot else. There are a few industry-funded BCAA studies out there with good results, but these products are missing something essential...literally!
The body requires 9 essential amino acids. These are amino acids that your body cannot make on its own, so they must be consumed via diet. When your body goes to make new protein, like the protein that make up your muscles, it requires that all 9 essential amino acids be present, not just the 3 BCAAs.
Your body starts by making muscle protein to build muscle mass. It incorporates the BCAAs into the growing protein chains, and then your genetic code calls for an essential amino acid. So what happens if you don’t have EAAs present? The new protein is terminated. You simply do not benefit.
Now most of us should have sufficient EAAs if we are on high protein diets, but if you are going to be taking a supplement with leucine or BCAAs, why just assume you have sufficient amounts already in your body? We created a product that provides each essential amino acid in every serving.
It's Not About the Ratio!
If you are an “amino-holic” than you have probably come across advertisements and claims about what the best “BCAA ratio” is. Some companies claim a 2:1:1 ratio is the best because they say it’s the only research backed ratio. We are here to tell you that is simply not true.
In fact, one of the most recent and powerful studies, an independent study by the US Department of Defense, was done on a blend of EAAs. One consisted of a 2:1:1 ratio of BCAAs in the blend, and the other, a leucine-enriched blend that had a ratio of 4:1:1, the latter showing better results.
OMG! Does this mean a 4:1:1 ratio is better than a 2:1:1 ratio?! No...what it means is that the ratio is not important. What is important is that you have a high leucine content, and sufficient amounts of all other EAAs in your diet. That is why Amino IV is a formulated high leucine-enriched EAA product.
If you are a hard-working, sweating, and fatigued athlete then you are probably more than familiar with those sugary sports drinks with electrolytes. But now you are more educated than the days of when you would down those by the bottle.
Now you avoid them because of the high amount of table sugar in every serving...but the downside is you have a tough time getting the electrolytes you need.
To continue to versatility of Amino IV, we have added electrolytes to every serving. Consider Amino IV your guilt free sports drink with muscle in mind.
